Rates listed are meant to give clients an idea of the general price range for various types of work. A brief description of the work is included under each category to help you determine the category that will best suit your needs.
For your use, printed (manuscript) pages based on a 12-point font, double-spaced, standard 1” margin will, in general, be around 250-300 words per page. The rate for RUSH jobs and those jobs requiring special experience would be at a higher price, depending on the type of work requested.
ALL WORK WILL REQUIRE A FULLY EXECUTED AND SIGNED CONTRACT WITH RATE AGREEMENT BEFORE ANY WORK IS STARTED

Writing – The creation of text in any length for any purpose. Research of topics must be completed prior to writing and will be done for an additional fee. Sourced material is incorporated into one cohesive piece. Combining of client sourced material will be billed at the standard research rate.
Articles/Blogs/Newsletters with Byline .12¢ per word (special expertise at a higher price)
Articles/Blogs/Newsletters Ghostwritten .15¢ per word (special expertise at a higher price)
Technical/Medical Writing .20¢ per word (special expertise at a higher price)
Business/Personal Letters .20¢ per word (special expertise at a higher price)
Other/Nonspecific Writing .18¢ per word (special expertise at a higher price)
Standard Copy Editing – When several people have written different portions of a text, copy editing it is used to unify the piece into a final product. Check text for consistency in style and layout, correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. NOTIFY of issues with plagiarism, obscenity, and biased language. MINOR rewording of sentences such as shortening or reordering words. No research or fact checking is included with this service.
Standard Copy Editing .05¢ per word
Extensive Copy Editing – Extensive copy editing is usually required when the copy consists of random notes, is an outdated form or letter, or was written by a non-native English writer. All standard copy editing tasks will be completed. In addition, the copy is CORRECTED for issues of plagiarism, obscenity, and biased language. MAJOR rewording of sentences such as rewriting whole sections or pages of text. No research or fact checking is included with this service.
Extensive Copy Editing .15¢ per word
Research/Fact Checking – Location of reliable information for use in writing or to reinforce already written work. Extraction of rough information for use in writing. The sourcing of images to use in a written product. The research will include the creation of source citations.
The client may set a limit to the number of research hours in the contract.

Library (Genealogical, Medical, Other) $50/hour
Florida Government Records $50/hour
Property Records $50/hour
Infographics – $30-$50
PowerPoint Presentations – Price dependent on topic, number of slides, and animation elements requested
